Sunflower House Book

I don't remember if I mentioned the sunflower house project that Églantine set up last spring for her late husband's grandchildren and our neighbour's child but it was a fun project for the spring, summer and fall. To help commemorate the events, I, with editing help from Églantine, wrote and printed up a small book for the children which I presented to them this past Christmas. We also printed up books for two other young visitors which they will get soon. Here is what the book looked like:

Oops, I guess I should have put borders around the pages. I hope the lines in between will suffice as I am not going to spend any more time on this blog. It's been about a week in the making.

I wrote too soon. I see that the Blog format put boxes around my pages and now I can see that they are not all the same size. Oops again.

That is so cool! I'll bet the kids will treasure those books for quite some time.

That is FANTASTIC!!! What a lovely idea, one which I'm sure all of the children involved (big and small) will always treasure.

Thank you for sharing that with us.

I know of a library in Kansas that accepts donations of books from native suns, oh, er, . . . native sons.

OW-- That is just great. What a labor of love. Imagine what those kids will remember every time they see a sunflower. Just wonderful

Oh look! Another 'R' commenter!

RD, They are all fairly young for remembering the actual sunflower house. I hope the book will help. It will be a great memory for the adults that helped too.

R, Like I said....

This is a wonderful idea. KS isn't the only place with sunflowers and beautiful grandchildren.
