More Flowers & Sit Spot - February 22, 2020

This is a close up of one of the cultivated Witch Hazel flowers. It is called 'Westerstede'.

Above is one of the more amazing little "weed" plants that grows almost all over the world. I saw some on a mountain in the Northwest Territories a few years back and I saw it in Italy, France and England on visits. Here in southern Ontario, I have found it blooming during every month of the year and even a few times under snow when I knew locations to dig for it. It is the Common Chickweed; stellaire moyenne in French or Stellaria Media in Latin.
