Wild Cucumber

Autumn colours and a wild cucumber . . .

. . . and a bit of early morning computer manipulations.

Isn't that interesting. A while ago I found a "cucumber" growing in a pot in the middle of the city. When I came back about a month ago to check it out, was already fruiting. Fruit looked like the one you pictured, except it was "looking up" (stalk holding the fruit above it). Seeds were stacked on a central septum and are black. I got some, and I'll plant them in the spring to see what comes out. Thanks for the tip though, a wild cucumber. Now I have somewhere to go from without waiting for the flowering season.
