Running

It's a bit frustrating for me that I can no long run like I used to i.e. it took me nearly 2 hours and 30 minutes to run 21 km. On the other hand, several of the people I grew up with and some of the people I taught school with never even lived to see 64 so maybe I don't have that much to complain about. I suspect that many of those people never bothered to train enough to run a half-marathon. Still . . .

I feel your frustration. I can no longer run at all because of bum knees, and I'm only (!) 56.

Mark, I did not run for 6 years during my eary 50's due to knee problems. Having had months of physiotherapy and being told that I would have to live with pain for the rest of my life because they could not fix the problem and having lived with the problem for a few years, I read about something called Active Release Therapy. I went in to try it and the therapist had me running in two weeks. Something to think about.
