Goat Escape - August 18, 2020 Continued - Beetle - Sit Spot


Alice, our goat, escaped from the barn so I had to go round her up, bring her back and repair the gate so there is not time to do my regular blog this evening. It will go up tomorrow.

American Carrion Beetle
In a bowl that had meat being used for coyote/dog bait;
trying to capture a neighbour's dog 
that has been on the run with coyotes.

6:05 a.m. -

       Crickets still calling,

       Cardinals singing,


Along the trails -

Goldfinches,

Crickets,

1st Showy Tick Trefoil found blooming, 

Crows, 

Chickadees,


Kitchen Windows and Bird Feeder -

Mourning Dove,

Goldfinches,

Grackle,

Rose-breasted Grosbeak,

White-breasted Nuthatch,

Black Squirrels,

Red Squirrel.
