Just Visiting

Just Visiting

We are lucky enough to see a fair bit of wildlife out of our kitchen windows. These three White-tailed Deer were the event of the morning. They took our attention away from the bird feeder regulars for a few minutes. The Willow encircled pond is between 150 and 200 metres away from the house to this photo is not as sharp as I would have liked but so it goes.

Trying to add this to the "Scenic Sunday" site. We'll see if this works . . .

Always a treat to see the deer passing through. I've never heard of Scenic Sunday. Looks like a cool place to post a link. I may have to give that a try.

Hi Robin, I just heard about Scenic Sunday this morning and thought I would give it a try. Look interesting. I visited several blogs around the world in just a few minutes.

It is always grand to see our creatures of nature come to visit. WE don't get as many deer as we used to due to population increase but still get the occasional deer in the backyard.

I read from your profile you visited New Zealand before. Did you visit Christchurch when you came?

Are you near to Windsor?

Wonderful photo. I love to see wildlife (up close but sheltered) ;-)

Thanks for visiting Joyful! I just looked at some of your Kenya photos and enjoyed looking at a place that I visited almost 20 years ago. (Where does the time go?)

Hi Ann, No, I did not make it down to Christchurch. I was only in New Zealand for a week as I was really on the way to Australia and just did a quick stop. I was supposed to hike near Nelson but the trip was cancelled shortly before I flew out so I just walked and cycled around the Nelson area for a week.

We are about 250 km from Windsor so not too close.
