Another Chilly Morning

Cold temperatures again this morning did not help my mood when the little red wagon tipped. I was attempting to haul the Blue Box of recycling materials, a garbage bag, and an open garbage can out to the road for pick up. The snow was just deep enough and the slope just steep enough that the wagon tipped and the recycling materials and 1/4 of the garbage got mixed in the snow so I had to pick up and sort in -23 C temperatures. A few steps later, my feet went out from underneath me and I crashed and slid in the snow. Not exactly the most fun start to my day.

It sure is cold! I am hoping this is that one major deep freeze we always and it is up hill form here!

Given that we are not at the half way point in winter and that February is usually the coldest month I think your hope will probably be dashed. However, we can hope can't we. I would not mind if it did not get this cold again.

Better be careful... wildflower season will be here before we know it. Wouldn't want to miss a single day. ;) Take good care and stay warm for now. :)

Yes Lenè, I saw the beginnings of a flower on a cultivated Witch Hazel yesterday so it won't be long until wild flowers will be poking through the snow. I expect Skunk Cabbage sometime in late February.
