3:10 p.m. Finally getting dim & cooler,
3:18 full eclipse darkness,
Venus shining brightly below sun,
Orange glow in west,
3:50 p.m. Back on trail walk,

Marigold pointed out a coyote
across the south meadow,
It lay still and just watched us,
