Wind roaring in trees,

Limbs squeaking in wind,

I see water rushing down the ravine

   for the first time from my sit spot,

Chickadee calling very close by,

(Train),


Extras:

6:30 a.m. - Cardinals singing,


8:40 a.m. - 

Drinking tea/coffee on porch,

Bluebirds calling nearby,

Several Robins in yard,

Crows & Blue Jays being very noisy,


Along the Trails -

Wind in trees!

Donkey braying,

Blue Jays screaming,

Red-winged Blackbirds calling,

Canada Geese flying overhead,

Soft crunching wet snow underfoot, 

Cracking ice underfoot, 

Squishing wet grass & mud underfoot, 

Robins chirping,

Many limbs down,

Crows cawing,

Bluebirds calling,

Green, green leaves showing up 

    from under the snow:

Unidentified sedges,

Unidentified grasses,

White Avens leaves,

Garlic Mustard leaves,

Dame's Rocket leaves,

Small Multiflora Rose leaves,

Hairy Bittercress leaves,

Oxeye Daisy leaves,

Bull Thistle leaves,

Celandine leaves,

(Nothing new - just green under snow all winter)

More Pussy Willow buds opening ,

Some Honey Bees out of their hives, 


Kitchen Window and Bird Feeder -

Blue Jays,

Bluebirds,

Cardinals,

Chickadees,

Crow,

Mourning Doves,

Ducks flying by,

Purple Finches,

Goldfinches,

Juncos,

Red-breasted Nuthatch,

White-breasted Nuthatch,

Robins,

Starlings,

Downy Woodpecker,

Red-bellied Woodpecker,

Cluster fly in kitchen,

Black Squirrel,

Gray Squirrel,

Red Squirrel.
