First Frost

Although the "normal" low temperature at this time of year is about + 4 (39 F), we did have our first frost last night. Temperatures below freezing have happened as early as September 20 but this year the temperatures were much higher. Be that as it may, we did finally have a frost last night and below are two frost photos:



This is frost on Goldenrod leaves.



This is the frost on a Chicory blossom.

The frosted flower photo is wonderful! Most frost-covered flowers I've seen look all sad and wilted, but this one still looks perfect. The flower's icy blue color makes it look even frostier.
