CG, Scary? He is less than the size of a 25 cent coin.

S4M, Thank you, I thought he was rather good looking and he certainly know how to disappear when I put him on tree bark.

C, Our 25 cent coin is almost the same diameter as the British ten pence coin. Do you feel safer now?

O.W. - that looks like a species of Brochymena. The Brochymena are predatory stinkbugs (Pentatomidae). I often find them wandering around on tree bark or leaves, eating whatever insects they come across.
