Photo Play

There's not been much time for blogging with all the art show preparation. Below is one of the items that I've just put together for the show. It was a digital photo that I took apart with the computer, printed on nine separate sheets and then pasted onto a large mat for a David Hockney type of print.

I've done this with one other photo so I have two large prints to go with several smaller prints of photos that I took in Malta last spring.

If I may ask, where was the original photo taken?

Hi Pablo,

The photo is from the front entrance of the St James Cavalier Centre for Creativity, in Valletta, Malta. The architects redesigned an old building from the inside in such a way that, if needed, the new could be removed to turn the building back to its original state so it looks very old from the outside and very new from the inside.

Love the treatment - it really works for me. And it is quite hockneyish. Very well done!

I really like the effect you achieved with the single photo divided into 9 parts. Well done.
