Morning Activities -

Forgot to mix up crepes,

(How could I forget something that I

   have been doing every Sunday for 4 years?),

Made pancakes for breakfast,

2.1 Trail walk with Marigold,

No frog songs in a.m. but the usual

   Spring Peepers, Chorus Frogs, & Wood frogs in p.m.

Spent remainder of morning cleaning in barn,

Sawed up old boards into fireplace sizes,

Took apart old gates, feed stalls, etc.,

Cleaned up just outside the barn door,

Again sawing up old gates etc. into fireplace sizes,

Burned some of the more rotten wood,

Put board ends with nails into garbage bin,

Hope the will take them tomorrow,

Afternoon Activities -

Cleaned up 2 flower beds on east side of house,

Burned old leaves and stalks,

Saw a Yellow Jacket Hornet on the ground,

(Perhaps I disturbed it’s winter hiding place),

Took an hour’s nap,

4 km Road Walk on my own,

Saw 1st  Coltsfoot blooms of the year,

Started evening dog walk but

   gunshots heard in west so dog would not walk,

Worked on today’s digital art play,

Seen or Heard from Kitchen -

Red-winged Blackbirds,

Blue Jay,

Cardinal,

Chickadees,

Crows,

Mourning Dove, 

Juncos,

White-breasted Nuthatch,

Robin,

Downy Woodpecker,

Red-bellied Woodpecker,

Carolina Wren,

Black Squirrel,

Grey Squirrel.
