Both Meadow Goatsbeard (Tragopogon pratensis ssp.pratensis) and Yellow Goatsbeard (Tragopogon dubius) have opened in the last two days in our area of southern Ontario. This photo of Meadow Goatsbeard was taken May 30 in our west meadow.
Aren't those beautiful flowers! I haven't seen them blooming around here. Nice details, OW. :) Wishing you a happy late spring.
