Notes and Photos - Mostly from Rural Ontario - Occasionally from Travels Beyond
I'm thinking orange mycena.
What gorgeous colours. They look good enough to eat, but -- better not!
I really like how you've captured the glisten on these. Like a glaze on a pastry.
No idea, but they sure are nice!
I can't identify them but they are pretty. We don't have anything like that around here, in Boston. But I did see a bunch of deer a couple of weeks ago in the woods around here.
Karen & Mike, That looks like a good possibility.Marnie, Yes, I will enjoy the colours and leave eating to others.Pablo, Sounds as if you are thinking of food too.Rurality, Thanks!Rhea, Thanks for visiting. Did you get any deer photos?
My guess is that they're very young Flammulina velutipes. Lovely photos. Sometimes slime is beautiful.
The third picture is such a private moment that it almost makes you want to look away lest you disturb them.
