Up at 4:15 to see lunar eclipse,

Had difficulty getting camera to work in the dark,

   Kept pressing wrong buttons.

Took several photos then the camera battery

became exhausted; helped by cold I think.

My backup battery had not been properly

recharged and died before I took one photo.

I put the battery in the charger

tried to take iPhone photos but did not work.

Spent time just watching and trying to

   sort out some constellations.

I knew Orion,  Cassiopeia, the two Dippers

   and Gemini

and was able to pick up Taurus and Perseus

for the first time in a long time

   as well as Leo.

Got a last moon photo with the recharged battery.
