Saw a cardinal,

Morning & Afternoon Activities - 

Started a walk with the run group,

Marigold’s lead slipped out of my hand 

   and in the process of my grabbing it

   I lost my balance and fell,

I landed on an upright broomstick sized stump

   that jabbed into my ribs and left me in 

   lots of pain,

Within a minute I had at least 6 walkers

   around me trying to get me up,

I was in a lot of pain and had my usual

   problem with getting up from being on the ground,

I was walked back up the road until Jeff

   managed to run back for his car and

   came to pick me up,

Barb and Donna went into their nurse routine

   and checked out my ribs,

   Then Ann drove me home while Jeff followed 

    in my car,

I spend a hour with ice on and off the ribs

   until the ice was more uncomfortable then the pain.

Took it easy the rest of the day,

Still some pain in the evening,

Hoping tomorrow will be better.

To Gretzky Centre for 5 km walk,

Only one other person showed up today,

We walked 6 laps around the football field,

(I thought that was 5 km but it was only 4),

(Not sure how I forgot the number of laps),

I walked another 2 km while trying some new routes,

To Costco for gas,

Back home 1,2 km Trail walk with Marigold,

Early supper,

Walked another .6  km Trail walk with Marigold,

To Costco for hearing test and

   testing hearing aids,

Hearing aids adjusted to increase volume

   In my left ear,

Stopped at  Food Basics for some canned beans,

   (6 cans for about the same price as 1 can at Metro),
