I spent many weeks in Algonquin in summers past but have not been on the rivers in Maine or the Adirondacks. I've just backpacked when I have been there. Glad you are enjoying my photos and blog.

RD, The Blue Jay is quite beautiful but they are so common that sometimes one forgets to look carefully. I remember the Stellar's Jays from my first trip out to the west coast. It is a very neat bird. I also like the Gray Jays that are out there and in our area, further north.Ontario Wandererhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13766128144351262255noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13838675.post-1134002744528944732005-12-07T19:45:00.000-05:002005-12-07T19:45:00.000-05:00The blue jay is quite beautiful perched up there o...The blue jay is quite beautiful perched up there on the tree like that. So different from our stellar's jays.

I am so glad you documented your journey so long ago. I appreciate the photographs so much. My butt still conforms to the shape of a canoe seat and some of my best memories are from long, slow trips in the Adirondacks, the Alagash in Maine, and Algonquin Provincial Park. Unfortunately, too far in the past as I write this.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13838675.post-1133974564034023342005-12-07T11:56:00.000-05:002005-12-07T11:56:00.000-05:00What beautiful pictures!
