On a Milkweed

I found this insect hopping about with 20 or so of its brothers and/or sisters on a milkweed leaf earlier this week.

I think it is a planthopper of some sort. Can anyone help with the ID? It's about 3 mm (1/8 inch) long, if it is stretching.

There's always BugGuide! I confess that I have a bit of a hard time using it though.

I'm with Rurality on this one. BugGuide is a good resource and they probably have your leafhopper -- even if they don't, they can probably ID it for you.

But like R, I have a hard time using their website. My connection rate is agonizingly slow so it takes forever for the pictures to load.

I was honoured to have the owners of the two blogs that I check everyday respond to this photo.

Yes, my connection is slow too and looking at all 800+ photos on the BugGuide would take me until Saturday of next month if I had that amount of time, which I don't. I did register and put my bug photo on the BugGuide so if I hear anything from there I will post it on my blog. Thanks for the suggestion.
