Buttonbush

I thought I had missed the Buttonbush blooms this year as I thought it bloomed in the spring. Wrong. It blooms in August and I found it blooming at the arboretum in the Royal Botanical Gardens last Friday.

I planted some buttonbush in my woods two years ago. I suppose it is too early for it to be blooming, but next time I'm down there I'm going to check.
I don't know how old it has to be to bloom but I would look too! Good luck!
