Sunrise

It's almost too hot to think. As the sun was coming up this morning, the temperature, with the 100% humidity factored in, felt like 29° C (84.2° F) at 6:00 a.m. this morning. This is not my idea of Canadian weather! (Yes, I know, it's a lot hotter in the south, but that's why I moved up here.)

"Red sun in the morning, sailors warning" Maybe you will have a break in temps and get a little rain. There is a chance here in your old stompn' grounds.

From what I hear, it's hotter in Ontario than in the south - at least the southwest. kerrdelune spoke of 118.4 deg. F. in Lanark. You always have the most glorious sunrise photos, and this one is no exception. I hope there's a break in your weather soon.

I love sunrises and this one is spectacularly good. Thanks.

What a spectacular sunrise this is, and it is good to find this photo here on such a ridiculously hot day - your photo cools me right down, and that is a very good thing. This summer Ontario is a rainforest of the first order.

Endment, Yes, good reward. Sometimes I think a better reward would be to sleep in when I am tired, but I rarely can sleep past 5 or 5:30 a.m.

Rachel, Thanks. Muggy and hot, hot and muggy, muggy and hot, and . . .

Linda, We got the rain and lots of lightning and a power outage that lasted all night so the fans did not work and we had to keep the windows closed. So much for relief.

Pam, I think that 118.4 was probably the "feels like" temperature due to high humidity. As far as I know it's not really been that hot, but I could be wrong.

Tim, It was nice to see a bit of colour in the clouds as too many dawns lately have been that bright orange foggy sun coming through the trees that reminds me of a scene from Stephen Cranes' Red Badge of Courage.

Kerrdelune, Glad it cooled you down. It didn't work that way for me.
