@ So, The camera is a Fujifilm FinePix S7000 with macro and supermacro lens settings. The photo was on supermacro which allowed me lots of room to play with the image on the computer.
Meanwhile, I still have not found any Monarch caterpillars.
Oh, one more thing, I let the caterpillar go on a Comfrey plant when I was finished photographing it and then, about 30 hours later, found it on a shrub about 10 metres (30 ft) away.

If you are looking for monarch caterpillars, you will find them on milkweed plants. It is their only food source I believe. Good luck.
I just found one of these on my back porch. I live in cedartown ga so I guess that means not just ontario any more
